CPO at ProctorExam
Startupbootcamp Smart City & Living Mentor
I moved to the Netherlands almost a year ago to get back into the start up scene. Before ProctorExam, I was a Software Consult at RedHat, working specifically with
cloud infrastructure as a service and platform as a service. Previous to my work at RedHat, I founded a cryptocurrency marketplace. While I was completing my degree in Computer Sciene at The University of Pennsylvania, I worked at a handful of other start-up companies over the course of four years.
Top 3 Skills:
1. Agile and organizational processes to keep your technical team on track
2. Communicating with non-technical founders and other stakeholders about the importance of what you are doing
3. How to determine what to work on, and what to leave for later on
I would like to work with start ups because we are the engines of change in our society. Old companies like tomtom etc. have had their time, and now the world is ready for the next generation of entreuprenuers. With the pace of change today, the old structures will no longer work, and we have to discover the new way to do things. When I was a student, an alumni from my program spent a year mentoring me, and I feel like the best way to perpetuate the change I would like to see happen, is by enabling others to do the same.
