Robert van den Bogaard has a degree in Business Economics with a major in marketing. He started his career at the magazine publishing house Sanoma (f.k.a. VNU). In 1996 he made the switch to Endemol television. He got to know Reinout Oerlemans and in 2001 the production company Eyeworks was founded. Since the start Robert, together with the other founders Reinout Oerlemans and Ronald van Wechem, has been responsible for the buy and build strategy that has made Eyeworks into a worldwide group with offices in 16 territories and revenues of 274 Million Euros (2013). In addition to the strategic management his primary focus was creative exchange and format development. In June 2014 the founders sold the Eyeworks Group (except Eyeworks USA) to Warner Bros. Since then Robert continues as a shareholder and non-executive board member of Eyeworks USA.

After having served in 6 different management positions (in 4 different places) in large media companies for ten years I have experienced how beautiful entrepreneurship can be. What started with 12 people in a small office in Amsterdam became in less than 13 years a multinational in 16 countries worldwide on four continents with more than 1.500 employees. This journey came (apart from Eyeworks USA) to an end with the sale to WB. Now it is time for me (1) to use this experience for people (and businesses) that are in a similar position like I was thirteen years ago, and (2) to get inspired (again) by people that have strong believe to conquer the world with their strong ideas and teams.
