Ramesh is an active investor, mentor as well as an entrepreneur. He is the Co-Founder & Partner of Tenshi Peak Ventures, a Singapore-based global angel investment, mentorship and business development platform. Ramesh’s angel investments have been in number of sectors such as online gaming, education, clean energy,Internet of Things, accelerators, fin-tech to broader areas in ICT across several geographies.
Ramesh has significant experience in the investment banking and securities business in Asia Pacific advising institutions on various equity and equity linked investment strategies for more than 15 years. Ramesh has held several senior leadership roles with Morgan Stanley for nearly 12 years and later with The Royal Bank of Scotland. His financial services career has taken him from New York to Hong Kong and then to Singapore during which time he structured, built and led the hedge funds Sales and Institutional flow derivatives business for Asia Pacific Equities. His financial markets advisory expertise spans both traditional money managers and hedge fund managers across several asset classes.
Prior to his entry to financial services has worked in the FMCG sector with Multinational Corporations such as PepsiCo International and Britannia Industries in India, developing significant businesses across branded agri-products, commodity trading and procurement businesses.
Ramesh is a Board Member of the Business Angels Network of South East Asia (BANSEA). He is a speaker in several angel investment forums. He is an Advisory Board member, Faculty and Mentor at the Indian School of Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development( iSEED) based in New Delhi, India.
Ramesh holds an MBA from London Business School, a Masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy (Chennai), India.
