Parker is a technology strategist who has held executive roles in the healthcare and the telecom industry. As the Entrepeneur-in-Residence for Health Technology, Parker is responsible for identifying exciting and transformational health technology companies for Fidelity’s Venture Capital fund, F-Prime, and Private Equity Fund, Eight Roads.

Most recently Parker was Chief Technology Officer at Virgin Care, a UK independent community healthcare provider for the NHS. Parker was also responsible for the technology strategy and roadmap at Great Ormond Street, the UK’s leading children’s hospital that specialises in rare and complex disease. Parker’s is passionate about the potential for technology to drive integration across acute and community care, and health and social care.

Prior to working in healthcare, Parker was was Global Vice President of Wireless Strategy and Marketing at Alcatel Lucent and held various other senior roles in the telecom sector, including head of strategy at the GSMA and working for the Telecom Minister in the UK’s Prime Minister’s strategy team. He turned his focus to health technology when his 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Parker has a fresh perspective on the technology and information challenges in healthcare from an acute trust, community provider and a patient perspective.
Parker lives in London with his wife and two daughters.
