Miguel is leading Health and Nanotech Programs at Startup Braga. Startup Braga is creating a living lab for the world, to help developing innovation and startups targeting health problems with digital health and medtech. In addition Startup Braga is building one of the main Nanotechnology-based startup world accelerators in Portugal.

Miguel is a Ph.D. Student in Bioengineering Systems at MIT-Portugal Program. He focuses on the design of new adaptive regulatory strategies and public policies for harnessing medicines’ innovation, with the objective of enabling cell-based therapies in the era of personalized medicine, with better utilization of healthcare data. He explores digital health as a tool to foster real-world evidence and game theory for hacking the regulatory pathways around data towards more sustainable innovation in healthcare.
