Matthew is the co-founder and chief ninja of Hedgeable where he leads all design, development, strategy, and product. Hedgeable is recognized as one of the most innovative fintech startups on the planet, recently winning Best of Show at Finovate Fall 2015, and the 2015 UKTI Great Tech Awards (Fintech category). Hedgeable’s innovation has been featured in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger, Forbes, Time, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. Originally bootstrapped out of Matthew’s apartment, the firm is now backed by Route 66 Ventures, and the SixThirty Fintech accelerator, started by the co-founder of Square.
Matthew was born and raised in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. Entirely educated in Philadelphia’s public school system, he went on to earn a B.S. in Finance with Distinction from Pennsylvania State University, and was one of the first graduates of the Engineering Entrepreneurship Program. He currently resides in New York City.
