Marie-Noelle Brisson is an international expert in commercial real estate and corporate governance. She has a strong background in non-performing loan analysis, operational reviews and investor reporting and long-time interest in data quality and governance. Her core competencies lay in commercial real estate underwriting and credit analysis, CMBS, real estate portfolio management, investor relations and corporate governance.
After her studies in Paris (Sci-Po, IUP) and New York (NYU, where she also served as an adjunct professor), she started her 25 year long career at Security Pacific Merchant Bank as a vice-president in New York and Dallas. She then became a senior manager at Ernst & Young in Washington, DC and founded her own consulting firm, Sonro International, operating in DC and Dallas. Following Sonro, Marie-Noelle Brisson became the Executive Director of French subsidiary of GMAC commercial holding, 100% sub of GM and largest US commercial mortgage bank in 2000. Before becoming an independent senior adviser in 2009, she was the Director of European Structured Finance Surveillance and Head of Servicer Evaluations for EMEA at the rating agency, Standard and Poor’s. As an independent adviser, she has worked with BlackRock (world’s largest asset manager) and Icade Asset Management along with other international clients. She also serves as the President of Counsellors of Real Estate’s European Board.
