Lora Gaston has spent her career introducing new and innovative technologies to solve business problems at large financial services firms (Sanwa and JP Morgan), nonprofits, and early stage companies. Currently, she consults, advises, and serves as a board member to several startups and nonprofits.
While at JP Morgan, Lora headed up Innovation R&D within Asset Management. Prior to joining JP Morgan, she had a consulting practice focused on building competitive advantage by providing strategic planning, business plans, competitive analysis, quantitative analysis and financial modeling. Her clients included a number of international and financial services companies and several US based hedge funds. She has also held positions managing research departments for Wall Street banks, business development and managing operations for a large nonprofit.
Lora received her MBA from New York University, with concentrations in computer applications and finance. She also has a BS in mathematics. She has been an adjunct professor of Statistics for Business and Economics and Entrepreneurship and Venture Formation. She is active with several not-for-profits and boards of privately held companies. While at Sanwa, Lora held her series 7 and 63.
