Lisa Suennen is Managing Member of Cardeation Capital Management. She is also managing partner at Venture Valkyrie Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm providing advisory services to global corporations, venture capital firms and not-for-profit organizations in the healthcare field. Lisa is a board member of Beyond Lucid Technologies, Heart-to-Heart and the Dignity Health Foundation. She is also a member of the advisory boards of Qualcomm Life, the CHCF Innovation Fund, Sanofi Connected Health, innovation consulting firm Accelevate, Inc., and HealthXL, a global digital health organization. Lisa is on faculty of the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business where she teaches healthcare venture capital. She writes a widely read blog called VentureValkyrie. Lisa is author of the book Tech Tonics, Can Passionate Entrepreneurs Heal Healthcare with Technology, and she produces the Tech Tonics podcast. From 1998 to 2014, Lisa was co-founder and partner of Psilos Group, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. Prior to Psilos, Lisa was an executive at Merit Behavioral Care, a behavioral healthcare company she helped lead through its early start-up days to the company’s IPO and ultimate acquisition by another company. Previously, Lisa held various positions in in the high technology field. Lisa earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees in political science and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, all from UC Berkeley. Lisa is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
