Kathryn manages a team responsible for defining the needs of risk report users, then working with subject matter experts and the information technology team to develop those reports. The team manages the production of risk reports for senior risk committees as well as the risk sections of the bank’s Annual report and accounts and some regulatory disclosures. In addition, Kathryn provides thought leadership for the Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting project.
Kathryn joined Royal Bank of Scotland from Moody’s Investors Service, where she managed a team responsible for rating European fund managers and fixed income funds. Previously, while based in New York, she had been a senior analyst responsible for rating high tech companies and medical device manufacturers. She joined Moody’s in Singapore, where she was Representative Director.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Kathryn founded and managed The Paradigm Alliance, a Sydney-based consulting firm. Paradigm consulted to banks in Asia Pacific on credit-related issues. It also managed projects funded by aid agencies such as the Asian Development Bank in the area of financial services.
Kathryn started her career in finance at the Chase Manhattan Bank, where she was a credit analyst. Prior to that, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Fez, Morocco. She holds a BA from Bryn Mawr College and an MA from Georgetown University, both of the US.
