Jonathan Marks is the Startupbootcamp media mentor in residence. Jonathan spends time with the Startupbootcamp Amsterdam teams, before, during and after the program. Originally from the UK, he is currently working across Europe, in the US, South Asia and East Africa. He assists start ups build an authentic, credible story for Demo Day and beyond. It’s more than just deconstructing the company story. It involves building an integrated media strategy to explain their narrative both on traditional and social platforms. It all starts by understanding what information the audience needs. He is also happy to advise on ways to sharpen your pitch and effective use of video and infographics. He notes that most start-ups write and rewrite their story between three and four times before Demo Day. But he also sticks around after the big day to help plan and implement the next part of the story towards series A.
