CFO at FuturePlay

Startupbootcamp FinTech Singapore Mentor

Currently serving as a CFO / Business Development Lead at FuturePlay (www.futureplay.co), a tech-centric venture builder. We focus on building and investing in early stage deep-tech start-ups and provide a highway between Asia and the US.

I’m a Fintech specialist within FuturePlay, having founded my own Fintech start up in London previously and currently serving as one of the founding members of the Korean Fintech Forum, providing an industry voice to shape the future roadmap of the Fintech industry in Korea. My UK Fintech start up, Spreddit, provided an online instalment payment system as you check out. We were one of the winners at Seedcamp London in 2013, and was also shortlisted as one of the top 10 innovative businesses at Smarta O2 Awards (annual celebration of small medium sized businesses in the UK).

As a founding CEO at Spreddit, I put together a team of four from the scratch and led the business development initiatives, fundraising, and overall strategic decisions. Based on this experience, I can give hands on mentoring and advice on finding the product market fit, customer development, go-to market and fundraising strategy.

Prior to Spreddit, I spent 9 years in finance, starting as an investment banker at Morgan Stanly, London (time spent in Leveraged Finance, Capital Markets and European Mergers and Acquisitions) and as an investment professional at Bridgepoint, EUR4.5bn Pan-European Private Equity, London where I focused on leveraged buy-outs of mid cap companies and portfolio management.

BSc. Economics First Class Honours at London School of Economics (graduated in 2003).
