A delivery focused Infrastructure CTO who specialises in creating cutting edge strategy and delivering large scale transformation across multi-national organisations – financial services, sales and retail, manufacturing, military and governmental agencies within both out and in-sourced setups.

In 1991 he attended the Royal Naval Military College where he completed his college education studying Weapon Engineering, specialising in Communications & Electronic Warfare. Due to his high pass rate he was subsequently selected for a fast track promotion management scheme, and was one of the youngest ever Chief Weapon Engineers. His duties included both onshore roles (managing the UK’s military voice and data communication hub, nuclear firing chain, ship refits/builds) to active service at sea in theatres of war, peacekeeping and NATO exercises.

After serving 10 years active duty he left to pursue a civilian career and accepted a global role at Ford Motor Company (FMC) as Head of B2B/B2C Hosting and Network Strategy for their retail and financial divisions. At FMC he developed numerous radical and cutting edge technologies and service models re-engineering the Network and B2B/B2C space. This was followed up with the Head of European Infrastructure at General Motors managing a 100% outsourced IT model, introducing innovation change, delivering multiple large scale retail and financial channel infrastructure programmes, combining a simultaneous data centre build and migration. Pursuing an international based role Jake joined Zurich Insurance Financial Services based in Switzerland as a Global Functional Lead, responsible for redefining and optimising global service operations and IT delivery. Within all these roles Jake has worked with globally diverse teams involving travel, placement and exposure to different cultures and experiences. Jake joined Lloyds Banking Group in January 2010 to build and lead the team responsible for the infrastructure integration design and assurance, which was an outstanding success, and since led the divestment and simplification infrastructure design teams, in addition to priority tasks as set by the directorate. Most recently Jake is now the Head of Infrastructure Architecture & DEVOPS in which he is keenly focusing and pushing strategy and innovation. Using his gained experienced in transformation and delivery at scale, he is furthering this agenda to achieve maximum success for his team and the Bank.

He has a demonstrable record in the development of products and technology sectors and holds significant experience in the delivery of extensive transformational change, improvement and cost reduction within multi-national, globally dispersed companies.
