Private equity and venture capital professional with significant experience in value creation and realisation. Have built unique experience, in Emerging Markets, originating, appraising, structuring, negotiating and executing private equity investments and venture capital transactions across the board with focus on Technology driven opportunities.

Closed over 50+ investment deals (from $100K to $25M per transaction), managed over $150m in Venture funds and served as a BOD / LPAC member for a number of companies / Funds, providing commercial and business strategies, along with general operational, financial, and strategic support as needed. In 2015, he led the exit of twofour54’s largest two investments, and more recently in 2017, led the exit of IFC’s largest MENA direct deal, souq.com. He also led the creation and launch a leading accelerator in the MENA region.

Currently working with IFC focusing on MENA venture capital – ifc.org/vc – Investment mandate include global direct growth stage investments and indirect (Fund of Funds) across typical Venture funds and early stage programs and accelerates. He also leads various efforts across the World Bank group that focus on the entrepreneurial space.
