Following a strong experience in ICT and CRM, in 2009 Giuseppe contributed to the creation of StartUp Initiative, the international acceleration platform developed by Italy’s leading bank Intesa Sanpaolo, which looks for promising high-tech startups, selects and coaches them, and connects them with financial and corporate investors.
As Innovation Manager of the program he has been specialized for seven years in scouting and screening of technological applications in relevant sectors of Made in Italy.
The program has a strong track record: 94 investment forums held in six countries (IT, UK, DE, FR, US, IL) covering 10 technological clusters and industries (Digital & Mobile, Biotech, Healthcare, Cleantech, Nanotech & Advanced Materials, Social Ventures; Food & Beverage, Fashion & Design, Automotive & Transportation, Building & Construction), matching about 700 startups with 7K investors, companies and playersof the innovation ecosystem. Its alumni went on to raise over €95 million in funding (~100 success cases, among which 12 “industrial” exits).
Giuseppe is now responsible for fostering Open Innovation practices introduction into large corporations operating in Food & Beverage, Retail and Fashion & Luxury sectors.
