About twenty years experience in the food business, of which eight years in Open Innovation with Startups, Universities and Research Centers worldwide. I have recently participated as a mentor in Startup Weekend (Rome) and “From Farm to Fork” (Turin) and as a Judge to MassChallenge: I can provide the point of view of a Large Food Company in designing product and services B2C and B2B.
Giancarlo Addario, 47 years, degree in Food Technology, Master in Quality Management. After research experiences in Italy, Ireland and Germany, starts his collaboration with Barilla in 1997 in Quality Assurance and Food Safety, managing projects in Italy, USA and Turkey. In 2003 joins the Research & Development Department where covers technical roles (Product development pasta and bakery products) and managerial roles (Organization, Development & Planning).
Since 2008 is responsible of Collaborative Research and IPR Management consisting of: building the network of Research Institutes, Companies and Startups, designing and managing collaborative projects, and “fishing” for funding opportunities. Other areas covered are: technology scouting and transfer, IPR and patent portfolio management.
