Ecem works for British Government’s trade and investment agency, UKTI, where she is responsible for prospect prioritization of the Lead Generation Project which aims to strengten trade ties between the UK and other countries by providing assistance to companies who want to have a presence in Great Britain. With that aim, Ecem helps constructing convincing investment propositions and providing bespoke information to private sector companies on access to government, key commercial considerations such as company registration, financing, labour and skills, research and development, real estate, transport, utilities and regulatory issues. She helps implement relevant policies of British Government to increase the level of high quality foreign direct investment towards the UK. She also builds and manages high level relations with the ministries, government officials, associations, industry leaders, chambers of commerce, CEO level contacts, service providers, universities and centres of R&D in Turkey.
Ecem started her career as an intern at IBM and went on to work with KPMG as a Strategic Advisory Senior Associate where she provided consultation on strategic and operational functions by undertaking research into the industry sector, markets and competitors and analysing data and statistics. She also partake in commercial, financial due diligence and year-end auditing projects in retail, media, travel and leisure, telecommunications, internet, manufacturing, automation, software, petrol and gas industries.
Ecem is an industrial engineer, alumnus of Koc University.
