Deputy CEO at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland


Terry has been Deputy CEO of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland since 2004. He joined the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2002 as Director of the Office of Research and Technology Transfer. He is Deputy Chair of the Dublin University Dental Hospital, and Deputy Chairman of the European Vaccine Initiative. He serves on the Audit Committee of the Irish Medical Council. He is a board member of Penang Medical College and RCSI Medical University Bahrain.

Previously, Terry held the post of CEO of a number of technology companies including IntuMed, the company which launched the world’s first online surgical training programme “BeST”; Exceptis Technologies, a software company which developed, marketed and sold solutions for dispute management in the card payment industry.

Prior to this he worked internationally with the Boston Consulting Group Ltd., managing the company’s health care practice group in London.

Terry graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, in 1986 with a MB BCh BAO BA; has a DCH, Dip Copr Gov and MSc (Ethics and Law) from NUI, and holds an MBA (Insead).
