Arnab is currently founding CEO of a neuroscience start-up, neuraltrain, that aims to develop digital drugs to treat neuropsychiatric disorders. As its first product, neuraltrain aims to develop a digital drug against depression and other affective spectrum disorders. He is, currently, also a Mentor for Startupbootcamp Digital Health, Berlin. Prior to founding his own start-up, he was a Regulatory and Clinical Affairs Consultant for a digital health incubator. Arnab was regularly involved in consulting start-ups on regulatory frameworks and clinical study needs and requirements in their quest to gather clinical data and real-world evidence. Arnab also brings around considerable experience from managing regulatory projects of big pharma through his role in a top-tier Contract Research Organisation, INC Research (currently Syneos Health, after merger with inVentiv Health).
With 12 years of academic experience spread over two different continents, Arnab has a strong academic career behind him. He holds a masters in Medical Neurosciences from the Charité, Berlin and a doctoral degree in Biology from the Max Planck Institute in Munich/ LMU Munich, where he worked under the supervision of Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Bert Sakmann. He has worked in the fields of Memory Research and Brain Plasticity during his research career.
