Benedetta Arese Lucini
Co-founder at Oval Money
Startupbootcamp FoodTech Rome Mentor
I have been a mentor for multiple programs. I believe that my experience in scaling a business can be very valuable as a mentorship to startups that are thinking of how to scale from one city to many, one product to many and from beta to open in a lean way. I also have worked as an investment advisor to various funds and can help with the fundraising process from mentoring on the pitch to the investment strategy.
Benedetta Arese Lucini was born in Milano, and graduated in International Economics at the University of Bocconi. She began her career in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in London. She decides to move to New York for a Master in Business Administration at NYU Stern School of Business, specialising in Technology, Media and Entertainment. Once she graduates, she decides to move to the centre of tech on the west coast, and in Credit Suisse she works on taking many sturtups to the public market. She then moves to Malaysia, to head the Operations of an e-commerce company of the Rocket Internet Group, Zalora, that was just recently launched in the South East Asia market. After a diverse international experience and a baggage of new skills she returns to Italy after nearly 10 years to work as the Italian General Manager in Uber where she managed the expansion of Uber thorough Italy and the launch of new products, like the peer-to-peer solution. After three years Benedetta decided to make the hard decision to leave Uber and start something new with Oval Money, experiencing once again the amazing process of building a team dedicated to growing a new product in the fintech space.
