Andy has spent five years practising law at Linklaters and has developed a broad practice covering predominantly advisory and transactional (mergers and acquisitions) work. This has involved drafting and negotiating transactional agreements (including sale agreements, warranties, disclosure letters, IP licences, and transitional arrangements), undertaking due diligence, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and providing advice on a wide range of issues, including IP infringement risk, website terms, and contractual interpretation. Andy also spent six months working in the legal team at BAE Systems, a defence, security and aerospace company.
Andy has gained experience in many sectors, including the technology and financial services sectors. More recently, Andy has advised Twitter in relation to various acquisitions in Europe, including its recent acquisition of SecondSync in the UK, as well as several private equity firms in relation to the acquisition and disposal of various software and IT services businesses, and the initial public offering of Manx Telecom Plc.
Andy holds a BA in Law and a PGDip in Intellectual Property Law and Practce, both from Oxford University. In his spare time, he enjoys movies, playing football, and web design. He co-founded Scoffler.com, a restaurant recommendation website for London.
