Amir is a highly-experienced entrepreneurial ecosystem builder. Earlier in his career he led Global Go-to-Market for Israeli startups that aspired for global leadership, while bridging the multi-national cultural gap: During the late 1980’s, he led NASDAQ-traded Fibronics’ Sales & Marketing in France and neighboring countries and helped the company become a market leader in high-speed networks in Europe. Additionally, as VP Sales & Marketing of NiceCom (a leader in ATM switching; acquired by 3Com) he led a worldwide team of 30 professionals that penetrated global markets, grew sales from 0 to $200M in 3 years and reached global market leadership. During the 2000’s he co-founded Aternity, a Boston / Tel Aviv-based provider of application performance management software and served as its President and Member of the Board.
Starting around 2010, he took an active role in multiple Boston-based community initiatives, with a global touch: Connector and co-chair of strategy sessions at BWP; co-founder of the Global CleanTech Meetup; CleanTech leader and then Chairman of NEIBC. Moreover, he moved on to become a Director of Global Partnerships at MassChallenge, a startup-accelerator company – and in that capacity co-founded MassChallenge Israel and MassChallenge Switzerland. After leaving MassChallenge, he founded A2E Partners, a boutique consultancy firm, providing entrepreneurial ecosystem services to large corporations, universities and governments.
