CEO & founder at Digital Shadows
Startupbootcamp FinTech London Mentor
Alastair founded Digital Shadows in early 2011. The UK-based company offers a cyber-monitoring service that secures companies’ “digital footprints” – potentially sensitive information posted online that amasses over time via social media, cloud services and mobile devices. The VC-backed company has been recognised for innovation by the Technology Strategy Board, SWIFT, Cisco and Gartner and earlier this year was selected for the inaugural London FinTech Innovation Lab run by Accenture. Digital Shadows now has a global footprint with tier-1 clients all over the world.
Alastair received a first class MEng from the University of Bristol in Computer Science and has spent most of his career working with secure government and FTSE 100 clients, specialising in ‘big data’ risk and intelligence programmes. Before founding Digital Shadows, Alastair was International Propositions Manager at BAE Systems Detica, working principally with national security clients in Europe, the Gulf and Australasia.
