Meet the Top 11 Startups Selected For Startupbootcamp’s First Amsterdam-based Media Accelerator

04-Jul-2019

Amsterdam, 4 July 2019Startupbootcamp Media, global startup and scale-up innovation program announced 11 international teams that will take part in its accelerator in Amsterdam starting on the 19th of August 2019. The first-ever Media cohort at Startupbootcamp features startups from the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain, UK, Denmark, Germany, and Italy. These new companies harness the latest technologies and innovative business models to offer solutions for the creation, distribution, and consumption of content.

The 11 selected teams were chosen out of 21 startups and scaleups that participated at Startupbootcamp Selection Days, a two-day event at rent24 co-working space in Amsterdam on 2nd and 3rd of July. The startups were able to expand their network, become familiar with the local market in the Netherlands and be coached by some of the best industry experts and mentors.

The top companies were selected out of nearly 400 applications during a 4-month international scouting period happening in major European tech hubs and leading conferences, such as the Web Summit in Lisbon, VivaTech Paris, and The Next Web, Amsterdam – the ecosystem partners of Startupbootcamp.

The 11 startups will now start a 3-month acceleration program in Amsterdam that will begin on the 19th of August and will end with the Demo Day in November. The first program of this three-year initiative will be run out of Startupbootcamp’s Amsterdam office, with a focus on startups that are impacting the future of the media industry. The teams will directly benefit from the strategic support of industry experts, top executives, business mentors, investors and corporate partners in the Startupbootcamp network.

Founding partners of the Media accelerator program are Veronica Ventures, Moon Ventures, and RTL. The program will be driven by the Managing Director Bas Rogaar. With their strong background in Media, Startupbootcamp founders Patrick de Zeeuw and Ruud Hendriks, will be highly involved and working closely with the teams.
