Amsterdam, September 28, 2018 – Startupbootcamp Smart City & IoT program in Amsterdam, has partnered up with Nymea, an IoT company building an operating system for connected devices, to support the scale-up marketing initiatives and facilitate their further engagement with relevant Startupbootcamp corporate partners.
Key persons for this collaboration are Manuela Krull-Mancinelli, Managing Director of the Startupbootcamp Smart City & IoT Program and Simon Seres, CEO of Nymea. Together, they have organized a series of webinars and roundtables focused on monetizing IoT services by applying real-life examples.
“SMEs (or scale-ups) are financially stable companies, with a proven product that meets a market need. We’d like to connect our partners to such companies and introduce them to proven solutions, that might not necessarily be that widespread yet. Nymea is such a company and our collaboration with them is aimed at bringing the biggest value to both Nymea, and our corporate partners,” said Manuela Krull, Managing Director of Startupbootcamp Smart City & IoT program.
Nymea is the first IoT operating system, which enables B2B customers to build highly scalable digital services with an unbeatable time-to-market and guarantees effortless API integrations. The company was just awarded as top ten IoT uses cases at the IoT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona and will showcase a smart garage door solution at the testbed area (16-18 October 2018). Compared to proprietary in-house solutions, Nymea is a cost-saving service that allows its B2B customers to enter the IoT market with a minimum risk. Additionally, the Nymea stack offers the best of both worlds – it puts a strong focus on edge computing while offering full cloud connectivity.
“We set the highest standards in developing our products and services – and the same goes for choosing our partners. So far, Startupbootcamp has exceeded our expectations. We are convinced that their professionalism will bring us to the next step in our journey of revolutionizing the world of IoT,” said Simon Hönegger, Nymea CEO.
In 2017, the scale-up successfully closed a €1 million seed funding round and has currently started its next financing round.
The next Nymea webinar in collaboration with Startupbootcamp will be on October 12 (CEST 3 pm) and will focus on a customer case of the company. Keep up to date with Startupbootcamp Smart City & IoT on Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin.
