Startupbootcamp FoodTech launches its acceleration program call and announces the 2018 Global FastTrack Tour



Rome, March 1: Startupbootcamp, a global network of industry-focused accelerators, has started scouting for startups for the FoodTech program in Rome and has announced its Global FastTrack Tour in several major cities across the world. Applications are now open to early-stage companies from all over the world looking to start their acceleration in September 2018.

Startupbootcamp FoodTech is a 3-month dedicated program that will take the 10 most innovative startups on board and provide intensive mentorship, guidance, and access to a broad international network of partners, mentors, and alumni.

This is the third foodtech program launched by Startupbootcamp. In its first 2 years, 18 early stage startups graduated through the program. These startups operate in all relevant agtech and foodtech areas, including retail, hydroponics, precision farming, Restaurant Tech, food substitutes, novel foods, biotech, delivery robotics and many others.

“During the first two years, we received over 1300 applications from over 80 countries by startups that wanted to join our program,” said Peter Kruger, MD of Startupbootcamp FoodTech. “This year, with increased partner and mentor support, we plan to grow even bigger”.

The program, supported by top partners such as Danone, Gambero Rosso, LVenture Group, Monini, GOP, M3 Investimenti, Orienta, will provide startups with:

  • Access to a network of over 500 mentors from companies such as Metro Group, Lavazza, World Food Program, Bayer, Tetra Pak, Facebook, Monsanto, Amazon, Cisco, Google, Intel and 1.000+ angels and  VCs like Accel, Endeit, Earlybird, Sunstone, Google VC, and many more;
  • 3 months free office space at the 400 square meter Startupbootcamp FoodTech venue located right at the very Center of Rome;
  • €15,000 to cover living expenses and over €500,000 in local and global partner deals.

2018 FastTrack World Tour

The accelerator program also announced its 2018 FastTrack World Tour: 11 events to meet the best startups of the world in the most attractive foodtech ecosystems: Silicon Valley, New York, Warsaw, Munich, London, Tel Aviv, Milan, Shanghai, Paris, Amsterdam and, of course, Rome.

These events are made possible by the support of some of the top ecosystem players in the world.
