Once you see the lights and tinsel spread all over your city then you know Christmas cannot be far away. As we come to the end of the year and the start of another, we wanted to look back on 2017 to reflect on our achievements.
Over the years, we took the time to understand and align with entrepreneurs’ needs across the entire world. This puts us in a unique position to help more investors, partners and startups better connect. In 2017 we lived up to our goals once again and expanded our global family of industry-specific programs into new markets.
We are ecstatic to see that we reached some major milestones this year. With 6 new program launches, we rapidly grew from Europe to Asia, Africa, USA, Latin America and Australia. We visited over 141 cities and connected with over 8,000 motivated entrepreneurs and their communities. We felt truly inspired by the level of entrepreneurial spirit that surrounded us daily.
Here is a snapshot of what we all have been doing this year. Click on the image to see the full infographic:
But none of this would have been possible without the startup founders and our growing list of 170+ corporate partners, including additions in 2017 such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Accenture, HSBC and many others who continuously support our work.
We are delighted to have seen 142 strong startups being accelerated this year and joining the Startupbootcamp family. While we help more companies scale, we continue to pride ourselves with our community of alumni counting 630 members now. With a survival rate of 81%, our teams have raised over £27 million this year.
2017 was a truly exciting year, with 25% of our startups having at least one female co-founder—8% higher than the industry average. We are on a continuous journey with our corporate partners and Startupbootcamp members pursuing a more diverse vision for the future.
