The startups have spent the past 3 months preparing for this – the culmination of the inaugural Cape Town Accelerator
There are only 2 days left to go until Demo Day. On 30 November, please join the Startupbootcamp Cape Town team for the final installment of an intense 3-month programme during which the Top 10 African startups had the opportunity to learn from the best and prove their scalability in their various fields.
“Demo Day represents the culmination of more than 2 years of collaboration with leading global stakeholders focused on innovative tech-driven solutions to challenges faced on the African continent. Startupbootcamp Cape Town is the first mentor-driven, multi-corporate backed accelerator programme for top tier tech ventures in Africa,” says Philip Kiracofe, co-MD of Startupbootcamp Cape Town.
Focused on financial services and commerce, the Startupbootcamp programme in Africa is sponsored and anchored by big names in the FinTech field, including: Old Mutual, RCS, BNP Paribas, Nedbank, Woolworths Financial Services and PwC. These sponsors will all be in attendance at Demo Day and, having been part of the startups’ journey over the past 13 weeks, they are hoping to see some promising talent which they will hopefully be incorporating into their respective businesses.
“The Startupbootcamp Cape Town programme has played a crucial role in facilitating our interactions with startups, which has helped broaden our exposure to the wider Fintech startup ecosystem in SA and shown how Fintech is rapidly growing across the African continent,” states sponsor Old Mutual, “We are already seeing value being created within our business units as a result of the mentorships and proof-of-concepts. Old Mutual is committed to being our customer’s most trusted partner and we are equally committed in our innovation journey to delivering value and to supporting the SBC Programme. We look forward to collaborating on even bigger and better things.”
