Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin, a business accelerator for early stage startups, announces a new partnership with Dentons today. As a part of this partnership, for the coming two years, Dentons will support the program in accelerating 20 high-potential startups in Digital Health over two years.
Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin accelerates startups in Digital Health by building an ecosystem of growth, connecting up to ten selected startup teams with 100+ industry mentors, access to corporate partners, investors, €15.000 cash and six months free office space, giving startups a collaborative and fostering environment to achieve one year of growth in three months. Dentons, being the world’s biggest law firm, works closely with health care stakeholders, services providers, research centers and foundations, as well as international pharmaceutical companies, health care and life sciences players. In this partnership, Dentons will support the startups with this experience and knowledge. Startups benefit from associating with Dentons in legal guidance to navigate the complex mechanism of Healthcare regulatories, data protection and venture growth.
Dentons welcomes the agility and speed that startups bring with them, and is thrilled to advise Startupbootcamp’s startup teams along the stages of incorporation, growth, and IPO, and mentor them during the accelerator program. Denton’s Partner Thomas Schubert says, “Supporting this program is a matter of personal importance for us since getting things right from the beginning on is fundamental for successful growth. Startupbootcamp offers a great environment for startups to grow and we, Dentons, are very happy to be a part of this program by providing legal advice where needed.”
Given the intricate healthcare laws in different countries, legal guidance by Dentons to the international startup cohort is a very valuable addition to the program. Alex Farcet, Founder of Startupbootcamp, sees great opportunities opening up with this partnership. “Startupbootcamp accelerates startups globally with 17 programs on 3 continents. Of the ten teams which were invited to join the first Berlin Digital Health seven came from outside Germany. Our partnership with Dentons is therefore a natural fit. Their footprint will benefit our Digital Health startups immensely both here in Germany and back in their home countries.” shares Farcet.
The accelerator program is also supported by Arvato CRM Healthcare Solutions, Sanofi in Germany, Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank (apoBank), Philips and Munich Re, making it a valuable partner for early-stage startups to accelerate with.
The program opens its applications on 20 March 2017. The startups can apply on the website, www.startupbootcamp.org.
