Meet Startupbootcamp InsurTech's new (and first) cohort

After several months of intense research and conversations with over 1,300 startups, Startupbootcamp InsurTech is ready to welcome its very first cohort.

18 impressive teams honored us with their presence and, along with our mentors and partners, took part in an exhausting 3 day selection process.
This diverse group of entrepreneurs came from 8 different countries and 3 continents with products ranging from customer engagement and wearables to data analytics and drones. Each organisation was interviewed by over 40 industry experts in order to decide if their team should be included in the final 10.

The judging process was one of the most intense in the history of Startupbootcamp as the teams have raised the bar despite their early stage.

We are excited to announce that the following 10 startups have been chosen to join the first Startupbootcamp InsurTech program in January:

BimaAfya (TZA) builds and manages the cheapest premium rated Health Insurance covers with the highest policy benefits covering all hospital expenses for the low income and informal sector population.

SAFER (UK) helps people to know their risks and choose adequate insurance cover.

CoVi Analytics (UK) allow insurance firms to extract value from their compliance activities and identify operational efficiencies.

massUp (DE) offers a insurance API and transaction shop for small protection insurance to B2B partners.

Rightindem (UK) is a self-service total loss claims platform that reduces insurers workload & leakage and improves customer service.

Domotz Data (UK) provides real-time, sensor-sourced customer data and analytics to household insurers.

FitSense (SG) helps health & life insurance companies personalise insurance by using data from wearable devices.

Buzzmove (UK) is Europe’s first online price comparison and booking platform for the moving industry which provides a revolutionary new distribution model for home insurance with unprecedented insight into household contents data.

Quantifyle (UK) enables you to use your wellbeing data from wearables and private records to earn tailored and better priced insurance.

Myfuturenow (IR) combines old pension plans into one low cost online account helping people take control of their planning

The program will kick off on January 11th in London where the selected teams will not only receive €15K in cash, €450K+ in partner services and four months free office space, but will be mentored by more than 400+ financial services industry experts.

At the end of the three-month program, startups will pitch at a Demo Day in front of 700 investors, VCs and corporate partners.
