Barcelona, 27th August 2015 – Startupbootcamp Internet of Things and Data, a leading global startup accelerator with a focus on Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Data, today announces a new local partnership with MediaTek Labs, MediaTek’s developer pragma that supports device creation, application development, and services for the Internet of Things era.

The partnership will provide Startupbootcamp members access to the MediaTek Labs program, offering MediaTek LinkIt™, a portfolio of development platforms for Wearables and IoT, technical support, as well as mentorship from the company’s developer relations experts who can support the startups from prototyping to initial manufacturing, and mass production of their IoT devices.

“I’m thrilled to welcome MediaTek Labs as our newest local partner. The experience, support and expertise they can provide will be an outstanding resource for our startups, said Angel Garcia, Startupbootcamp’s IoT & Data Managing Partner.

Startups joining Startupbootcamp’s 2015-2016 accelerator program will receive hands-on mentoring from MediaTek Labs experts during their 3-month program and gain access to the MediaTek Labs Partner Connect Program, a resource for helping startups to find the supply chain needed to make their ideas a reality. The Labs Partner Connect Program helps match-make developers with some of the world’s best software and cloud-services, EMS, OEM and ODM companies, as well as distributors of MediaTek products and suppliers of device components.

“MediaTek Labs is proud to partner with Startupbootcamp Internet of Things and Data to further support emerging businesses,” said Marc Naddell, Vice President of MediaTek Labs. “We seek out opportunities to guide and nurture both the maker and developer communities and their desire to establish and grow a viable startup business.”
