With a few new faces at Startupbootcamp Berlin, we feel it’s about time we properly introduce ourselves to you. This is the first of a two part series where we share with you who we are, where we are from, and what drives us.
Tanja has spent most of her career in Munich and San Francisco as an investor working for a number of corporate venture funds, accelerators, and a family office. Her biggest motivation? Helping entrepreneurs succeed at their endeavors. To her playing a part in this amazing journey at Startupbootcamp is the greatest job in the world.
Favorite thing about Startupbootcamp: “The people. Our colleagues across all programs are incredible and inspiring people. I’m excited to be part of this amazing team.”
Best Berlin Tip: “I enjoy the Wrangelkiez in Kreuzberg – great restaurants on Oranienstrasse and my favorite Burger joint, Burgermeister.”

While Leon was always a sucker for the digital world and involved in several startups, he actually spent most of his career in the corporate world as a management consultant in London. Now that he has made the switch, 2015 will be all about making Startupbootcamp Smart Transportation & Energy the best it can be.
Favorite thing about Startupbootcamp: “The combination of us quickly developing into a huge global network and developing a vertical focussed approach in each location. It’s what makes us unique!”
Best Berlin Tip: “Though I’ve only just moved to Berlin, I know I will be a regular at Le Bon for brunch.”
Chief Marketing Officer
Elena came all the way from Rochester, NY to check out the exciting Berlin startup scene and hasn’t looked back since. She has lived in places like Hong Kong and Australia, but has found her home in Germany’s capital. She is a former PR and communications freelancer for young companies.
Favorite thing about Startupbootcamp: “The diversity of my work and the openness to creativity. Depending on where we are in the program, I’ll be working on different projects to get the our mission and values out there in front of great startups.”
Best Berlin Tip: “Tempelhof Airport with a bike and some sun is a must.”
Head of Operations
From day one of her career, Daniela was fascinated by the startup world. Before joining Startupbootcamp, she was recruiting, and doing training and development for an Berlin-based incubator. Originally from Muenster, Daniela has also lived in Brazil and the U.S.
Favorite thing about Startupbootcamp: “The international environment and being part of an expanding community of leaders and entrepreneurs.”
Best Berlin Tip: “The Monkey Bar on the 10th floor of the 25h hotel. Amazing view over the city and the zoo, great music, and the best fried sweet potatoes with chilli chutney…oh, and don’t forget to try their cheese cake.”
