It’s been a big week for Startupbootcamp Berlin!
On Sunday at midnight the application period closed and we’ve just moved to a beautiful new office. Until only last week it was an art gallery, and we’re now busy making it ours, filling it with furniture, installing the fastest internet we could possible find and all kinds of other awesomeness to create the perfect environment for startups!
Slowly making changes to the new space
The new Startupbootcamp office is a beautiful space with high ceilings, a lot of light, and enough room for a kitchen with a little cafe and a napping room. It’s just around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie and other key attractions of Berlin’s history. The area is made to explore – so come and visit us this summer, we have an open-door policy until the program starts!

Over the next couple of weeks we will be scouring through over 400 applications that we’ve received. It’s up to Alex Farcet and Wilken Bruns, along with representatives from Mercedes-Benz, HDI and Bosch to narrow down these applications to 20 outstanding teams to join us for the Selection Days the 5th and 6th July. Our Selection Days are a 2 day event during which more than 60 of our mentors will help us to decide which 10 teams get into the program. Besides intensive ‘speed dating’ sessions between our mentors and the startups, it will be a great opportunity for all participants to connect with teams, mentors and to get invaluable feedback on their idea from 60 of the brightest minds in the business world.
If you want to know more about what sort of startups applied, stay tuned as we’ll be revealing more on this soon.
