‘Final Selection Days’ at Startupbootcamp: startups present their plans on the 26th and 27th of February
Top 15 startups from 11 different countries come to Amsterdam
Amsterdam, The Netherlands 24th February 2013 – Startupbootcamp, the Global startup accelerator program, has announced that 15 international startups will come to Amsterdam on the 26th and 27th of February to take part in the Final Selection Days for Startupbootcamp Amsterdam 2013. The event will take place at the Startupbootcamp headquarters.
The two-day event promises to be very dynamic for the startups and approximately 70 of the 150 Startupbootcamp Amsterdam mentors. During these days, the teams will present their startups to these mentors. The mentors will assess the participants on a large number of criteria such as team setting, leadership skills, business concept, scalability, product and market potential and fundability. Their evaluations are implemented in the real-time analysis tool “Startbooster” which will form a top list which will be used for the final selection of participants in Startupbootcamp Amsterdam 2013. These startups will participate in the program that starts on April 2nd.
The following startups will be presenting their ideas during the 2 selection days: Fuel (Netherlands), Revirda (Australia), iLost (Netherlands), 7Write (Australia), Picturize (Denmark), Aletheio (Germany), Twoodo (France), Kinems (Greece ), PickEvent (Great Britain), Swogo (Great Britain), Casasa (Netherlands), AliveShoes(Italy), Presentain (Canada & Ukraine), Easy School (Cyprus) and Click2Stream (Czech Republic).
All of these teams have presented themselves to Patrick de Zeeuw (CEO of Startupbootcamp Amsterdam) and aproximately 20 Startupbootcamp mentors several times during the last four months.
Patrick de Zeeuw is looking forward to the final selection days: “After the success of last year’s program in Amsterdam we have again raised the bar for ourselves. We are also very pleased with the level of the participating startups and with the enormous commitment of our mentors. Entrepreneurs like Kees Zegers (founder Nu.nl) and Willem Middelkoop (founder of the Commodity Discovery Fund) but also Rob Shuter (CEO Vodafone) and nearly 70 other mentors have made themselves available fpr 2 days to assist us in the final selection. It is going to be a real challenge to select the final participants for Startupbootcamp Amsterdam 2013. For all fifteen participating startups the selection days will be a very valuable experience. They will be inspired and advised on many different levels and topics.
“Our mentors will be inspired by the drive, expertise and ambition of the startups. Nick Hawtin, a highly successful international startup mentor, will give keynote to the mentors and startups. As reference for the participating startups to SBC Amsterdam 2013 we have invited two internationally successful SBC Amsterdam alumni Layer Gloss and Viewsy. De Zeeuw will interview them about life during and after Startupbootcamp.
Last Friday Startupbootcamp announced a “Global Open Pitch Days Tour” for 2013 to scout and advise the best startups around the world. Read more about the “SBC Global Open Pitch Days” here.
