Vendors selected for the “Cool Vendor” report are innovative, impactful and intriguing.
Copenhagen, Denmark, June 15, 2012. The The Eye Tribe (formerly known as Senseye), a very promising technology provider in eye tracking technology for the mass market, has been selected with five other companies to be a “Cool Vendor” in the “Cool Vendors in Human-Machine Interface, 2012” report by Gartner Inc. Every year the Gartner Cool Vendors reports highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services.
The Eye Tribe develops software that makes it possible to control a mobile phone or tablet just by looking at it. By combining eye control with existing means of control like key press, touch, and tilt. The software uses low-cost off-the-shelf electronic parts that can easily be integrated into the next generation of mobile devices.
Investors and potential partners can get a demo of the world’s first eye controlled tablet for the mass market at the LeWeb conference next week in London, where The Eye Tribe has been selected for Tech All Stars, being among the 13 hottest start-ups in the EU. A sneak peek of the demo will be made available on our website today.
“People that are skeptical towards eye control on mobile devices, change their mind, when they try our mind-blowing demo”, says Sune A. Johansen, CEO and co-founder of The Eye Tribe. “Like Gartner, many vendors in the mobile space recognize our ability to make eye tracking available to the mass market, and that eye control is going to be the next big thing for interaction with smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices”. This vision is backed by leading mobile manufacturers and gaming companies.
