December 13th, Startupbootcamp, represented by Patrick de Zeeuw, will attend the TechCrunch event in Barcelona for investors and startups.
The technological scene in Barcelona has been changing over the last years. The city is attracting more and more international businesses and startups due to the proximity to Europe’s tech-hubs. Moreover, Barcelona is on its way to becoming a tech-hub itself.
“Barcelona has been slowly growing a scene focused both on the Spanish and Latin American markets and a new generation of internationally focused startups” (TechCrunch).
The meetup will have two panel sessions, a pitch competition and an after party. The event’s goal is to connect investors, mentors and VCs with the brightest startups based in Spain. Startupbootcamp’s participation will be divided into two parts. First, there will be a closed session with pitches from 8 startups where Patrick de Zeeuw will be in the jury, giving feedback. Then, he will join an open panel session about financing in Europe with topics such as how Spain can improve its financing structure to be more competitive with the rest of Europe. Furthermore, the startup experience in Startupbootcamp and what it takes to get into an accelerator program are other examples of topics discussed.
Unfortunately, the tickets are sold out but you can still join the after party and do some networking!
