Open Pitch Days quasi pre-selection for Startupbootcamp Amsterdam 2013
Amsterdam, 6 September 2012 – Startupbootcamp Amsterdam, part of the pan-European accelerator programme for tech starters, will provide the opportunity for local and international start-ups to present themselves to the Startupbootcamp team. The Open Pitch Days will be held at the Startupbootcamp headquarters in Amsterdam. As the current teams are getting ready to move on the organizers of Startupbootcamp Amsterdam are now looking for new talented start-ups for Startupbootcamp Amsterdam 2013. Startupbootcamp Amsterdam founders Patrick de Zeeuw and Ruud Hendriks challenge all tech start-ups to pitch, either live or via Skype.
Open Pitch Days
The founders of Startupbootcamp Amsterdam, Patrick de Zeeuw and Ruud Hendriks, are presenting start-ups (national and international) with the opportunity to showcase their business idea to them and other top mentors that are working within the programme. During the ‘Open Pitch Days’ start-ups will receive constructive feedback on their pitch. It also gives start-ups a chance to get acquainted with the Startupbootcamp Programme in the early stage and provides the Startupbootcamp team with opportunity to spot some potential start-ups for Startupbootcamp Amsterdam 2013. The ‘Open Pitch Days’ are scheduled for September 19th, October 19th and November 19th. Start-ups can register via the Startupbootcamp website.
Startupbootcamp attendees successful after Investor Demo Day
After the Startupbootcamp Investor Demo Day (where the ten participating teams have presented their business concept to more than 350 investors) all teams were approached by interested investors, ranging from 9 to even 35 investors per team. Most teams received investments offer and have signed term sheets according to meet their necessary investment needs. The teams have developed enormously throughout the process, and have an estimated combined total value of twenty million euro’s. This valuation is based on the signed term sheets and bids from investors.
After the intense three-month mentorship driven programme that culminated during the Investor Demo Day, the start-ups have been given the opportunity to stay and work at the Startupbootcamp headquarters until the end of September. In this so called ‘fading out’ phase the teams have the possibility to get some last direct support from the accelerator programme. After this stage start-ups will go their own way and Startupbootcamp will remain in the background in an advisory role.

Startupbootcamp expands network
Recently Startupbootcamp has announced their expansion toward Israel. Haifa will be the host of the accelerator programme that will have its premiere on December 10th 2012. Applications for this programme are open till October 14th 2012, you can register here.
Startupbootcamp (or “SBC”) is a start-up accelerator with a mentor and alumni network from 30+ countries across the globe. The acceleration program offers startups a chance to get intense exposure over the course of three months to industry experts who are available as mentors to startups as needed. Bundled with seed investment, free co-working space and plenty of sponsor deals, start-ups typically boast years of results in 3 short months. At the end of the programme, start-ups present at Investor Demo Day for hundreds of local and international investors. The programme currently runs quarterly during the year in Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam and Dublin and only selects 10 startups to fund each cycle. The programme will also expand to Haifa this year.
