‘Health announces partnership with Silicon Valley Bank to build a global digital health community’

Dublin, 12th December, 2012 – Health, a multi-million

Euro digital health technology programme investing in some of the

world’s hottest health and tech start-ups, today announced a strategic

partnership with Silicon Valley Bank which will see Health continue to

strengthen the support it provides to startups and help to further

expand the digital health community.

Silicon Valley Bank is the latest company among a list of high profile

industry leaders from the technology and health sectors to partner with

Health, the newest digital health accelerator programme. These

partnerships are key to building a global digital health ecosystem of

supporters from the investment, entrepreneur and health community

As part of the partnership Silicon Valley Bank will host a selection of

teams, that have entered onto the Health accelerator programme in Napa

Valley, California. The teams will have the opportunity to be mentored

by some of Silicon Valley Bank’s most experienced investors.

As part of the announcement, Barry O’Brien Silicon Valley Bank managing

director will join the advisory board of Health

recently opened their offices in Dublin by hosting the H CheckUP to

bring together entrepreneurs with engineers, designers, scientists and

doctors from across the globe to identify the technology solutions to

help solve today’s key health problems. The weekend attracted

entrepreneurs and mentors from Ireland, America, UK, Sweden, and South

Africa. The winning teams HealthRX and Vivid Specturm attended the

Healthies awards event.
