Berlin, 27th November 2012 – It’s Investor Demo Day time at the Startupbootcamp Berlin headquarters at Webworker Berlin. There have been over 650 signups to attend as well as a huge waiting list, this huge crowd will watch ten startups pitch for funding. Guests for the day include investors from all the major early stage investments firms and hundreds of angels form all over Europe..

Over the last three months these start-ups have had their products and business models validated to prepare themselves for todays Investor Demo Day. With the guidance of over 150 local and international mentors they went from first class to world-class in just 13 weeks.

The ten teams have moved to Berlin from all over the world to take part in this programme, including Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, UK, and USA.

“We’re super proud to have attracted so many top teams from all over the world; and the great news is that most of them are staying in Berlin. They will add to the Startupbootcamp ecosystem and make us even stronger for next year.” Alex Farcet, Founder of SBC Berlin.

Verena Freese from Webworker Berlin, who have been hosting the startups for the last 3 months had this to say “It’s been three buzzing months at Webworker Berlin! A great experience to see the teams working hard, partying hard, getting consistently better at their pitches and becoming more and more famous in the Berlin Startup Scene. We’re proud to be part of it.”.

After the pitches Alex will announce the Buzz Award, given to the two teams who have created the most buzz during the Investor Demo Day. The three winners will receive tickets to the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas.

We are proud to announce that the City of Berlin has partnered with TOA to send 3 of the 10 startup CEOs to the South by Southwest festival in Austin Texas next year. The startups will be part of a delegation sent by the Berlin Senate to represent Berlin at the festival as part of the “log in berlin” campaign. To choose the lucky winners the audience will vote the three startups that are most likely to create a buzz for Berlin at SxSW next year. We’re excited that Lindenpartners, Eventbrite and Startupbootcamp will each contribute €2000 to cover half the cost of the trip. The senate of Berlin will match the cost of trip.
