Startups Applicants from over 30 countries vie for a spot in 2012 Berlin Accelerator Program
Applications Are Closed and 300 to Become 20!
Applications are closed and we have received an astounding number of applications for our first acceleration program in Berlin! More than 300 teams have applied for the program in Berlin, following the great success of our Startupbootcamp programs in Copenhagen, Dublin, and most recently Amsterdam. Startup tech entrepreneurs all over the globe from Japan to Brazil have signed up to become part of the accelerator in hopes to become one of the 10 teams to participate in the intensive three month program which will prepare them for Investor Demo Day at the end of November.
Our team has been scouring through the applications, looking for the best applicants with great ideas. Alex Farcet, Co-Founder of Startupbootcamp and Managing Director of the program in Berlin and the Startupbootcamp Berlin team is still in the process of interviewing the best 50 teams via Skype. The interview focuses on each team member’s experience as well as their product or idea. For teams with a special expertise, a second opinion from a mentor, alumni or investor of the same field is collected. From the 50 teams interviewed, 20 will be selected to participate at the 2 Day Selection Event on August 10 and 11.

What’s Next? Selection Days!
We will announce the Top 20 Teams in the following weeks! They will then be invited to come to Berlin to join a two-day mini Startupbootcamp event on August 10-11, where the final 10 teams will be picked for the program starting in September. Teams will have an orientation for Startupbootcamp during the event, which will give them a better idea of what to expect from the program. The teams will pitch their business proposal to an audience of mentors, investors and the Startupbootcamp team.
