Martijn Geerlings and Mark Berendsen from Google visited the SBC Amsterdam office on Friday, the 1st of June to give a presentation about Google’s tools and insights.

The amout of information available online is vast but young entrepreneurs need to stay up-to-date with online traffic. Martijn and Mark presented and discussed the numerous Google tools which can assist in conducting brand-related research. Entrepreneurs ask themselves various brand-related questions and Google can help assist in providing the answers.

Think With Google allows to identify search trends over time, regional trends and brand associations, search trends and related terms. It also allows to analyze how many people search for a keyword of interest or what other keywords they use.

Google Alerts allows companies and individuals to stay on top of brand news by monitoring the Web for interesting content.

Google Trends shows what keywords are trending and when. You can also use YouTube dashboard to check which videos are trending.

Questions related to engagement can be answered by using insights from paid search copy testing, public YouTube video statistics, YouTube analytics or Google analytics.
