Startupbootcamp IoT’s mission is to make the journey of building a connected hardware startup clearer, shorter, and more successful for entrepreneurs.
This is done through a 3-month acceleration program run once a year in London. The program gives up to 10 startups access to a global network of business mentors, hardware professionals, corporate partners, potential customers, and investors. With workshops, one-to-one sessions and events, each startup is able to call upon daily support from the Startupbootcamp team on areas including business development, finance and marketing. Co-working space with a fast prototyping lab, and £15,000 for expenses, are provided.
Startups from across the world are able to apply to Startupbootcamp IoT, but they must be developing an ‘internet of things’ device and have at least two co-founders in the team. On joining the program there is a 6% equity share.
Our next program begins in October when we’ll be accelerating startups who are working on a connected device within the key focus areas below. What's the Deal?
Our pool of expert mentors are on-hand to support you in areas such as business development, product design and getting-to-market. Each startup is matched with 2-3 dedicated mentors, with other mentors being brought in to help when needed.
Access to Partners
Working closely with our partners (who include Cisco, DLL and Element14) startups benefit from a number of their resources, often establishing long term partnerships or running pilot programmes with them.
Events & Demo Day
You’ll have the chance to showcase at key tech events in London, culminating at the end of the program with your pitch at Demo Day in front of 300+ investors, partners, community members and press.
Investor Access & Knowledge
By the end of the program startups will be investor-ready, with the best possible product and a clear understanding of the investment process. From preparing pitch decks to one-pagers, we’ll introduce you to relevant investors and help you nail your pitch.
Office Space & Expenses
Based in the heart of Shoreditch you’ll have 24/7 access to our space at IDEALondon which includes a fast prototyping lab. Each startup will also receive £15,000 to cover expenses and more than €450K+ in exclusive partner deals from leading providers such as Google, Amazon, HubSpot, SendGrid and others.
Getting To Market Quicker
The Startupbootcamp IoT team and on-site entrepreneurs provide you with daily support, able to introduce you to key contacts (whether for manufacturing or partnerships) and share their prior knowledge and expertise of building IoT startups.
A set of workshops is run to bolster any knowledge gaps outlined at the start of the program. These workshops could be anything from marketing to IP, licensing etc.
Alumni Growth Program
Following the 3 month program we provide an additional 2 months of lighter-touch support. After you’ll join Startupbootcamp’s Alumni network, benefitting from access to events, further introductions and community support.
