We're looking for the best of the best, from anywhere in the world. Our critical selection process at Startupbootcamp is legendary, for a good reason. The 10 teams we pick need to be ready to be accelerated to the next level. Here are some criteria we're searching for:

SBC2go themes

The Mercedes-Benz, HDI and Bosch partnership, which has been dubbed SBC2go, will actively engage senior executives and engineers who will contribute resources, plus access to technolog, innovation and mentoring. Mentors will include VPs of Engineering and R&D who will join the already impressive Startupbootcamp Berlin mentor pool.
We've defined three themes of interest for the 2013 program: Mobility, Connectivity and Big Data. Our SBC2go partners are interested in connecting to game-changing startups in these areas but startups working on big ideas outside the above areas of interest are still encouraged to apply.

Global startups

We accept applications from anywhere. For the inaugural 2012 program we selected startups from Germany, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Australia, the USA, Italy and Austria. Startups range from idea stage to early revenue.

We love teams of 3 or more founders/members

You can apply with 2 founders but to really accelerate your startup we prefer a strong team of 3 people. We look for teams with the following skills: tech development, marketing & sales, design, business expertise with drive, vision and leadership, and we also believe marketing & research talents need to be in the team as they start their customer discovery and development. Be prepared to show our selection panel that you have these skills on board.

Will your team fit in with the other 9?

The atmosphere in Berlin is open, direct, collaborative and hard-working. We have clear targets and deadlines. All sessions, including Demo Day, will take place in English.

Startupbootcamp is a full time 3-month program located in a cool co-working space in the heart of the active Berlin startup ecosystem. The ten selected startups relocate to Berlin for the full duration of the program and are encouraged to stay another 3 months.

Startupbootcamp Alumni, London Demo Day and Silicon Valley Demo Day
Startupbootcamp has appointed a full time Alumni Growth Manager to support and engage with our growing pool of alumni (our programs are producing 60 startups in 2013 alone). All Startupbootcamp startups join the Alumni Growth program which includes additional Investor Demo Days in London and a Silicon Valley 2-week trip during which we connect to key valley-based investors, executives and mentors. Team Contracts
We like to keep things simple and transparent. All of the Startupbootcamp teams in a specific city program will sign the same contract. There might be differences in the contract depending on the city program you will attend.
